Hello, when I use to create text, it will not let me capitalize any letters, neither with shift nor with caps lock. The same thing happens when I make a new layer and try to rename that layer using a capital letter.. This just started happening right now. Thank you.

Which OS and what version of Inkscape are you using?

I am using Windows 7 with Inkscape 0.91.

Yes, both shift and caps lock works, this is only happening with inkscape.

OK. As it's Windows first thing to try is restarting Inkscape. If that fails restart Windows which usually fixes these things.

Ok thank you, I tried it but it did not work, I might just reinstall inkscape.

I reinstalled Inkscape and it solved the problem, but once I start messing with the Ctrl key to write a copyright symbol, it wont let me capitalize any longer. I don't really know how to write symbols.. Any ideas?

Check the Glyphs, from Text on toolbar.

Doesn't Windows 7 have "Character Map"? It's on my 8.1 system.
