This is a banner I made for a friend of mine to advertise his zine, The Iron Feather Journal.

Unfortunately I don't have the laptop anymore that I had at the time I did this. It had a stylus that I could draw/wite directly on it's screen, which let me do the letters in my own handwriting. (I love that caligraphy tool Inkscape has ). Fortunately I did the whole alphabet at the time and saved them to file, so even though I can't write on my screen anymore, I can at least piece together words in the future.

IF you wrote that with a tablet you have steadier hand than me

I really like the cogs background. Very effective.

I have a tablet, but I'm not very good with it at all. This was written on my old laptop's screen itself. I loved that feature. The screen rotated around and could lay flat over the keyboard with the screen part facing up, then I could draw directly on the screen and have the lines appear beneath the pen tip just like I was writing on paper. I wouldn't be able to do the same thing with the tablet I have. I'm not very good at writing blind on the tablet and watching the drawing appear on the monitor of my desktop system.
